Touring Nova Scotia, Back on the Run

Finally the leg has healed up enough for me to start getting in some decent runs.  This week I managed to get in a couple of 5k runs as well as two 10k+ runs.  The leg has handled it pretty good but I am still going to be cautious adding miles slowly.

So we went up to Cape Breton a few weeks back and although the leg was hurting I managed to get a few short hikes in.  Felt great to get back out into the woods and connect with nature.  There are so many beautiful trails and beaches in the Highlands park that I am sure that we will go back there to camp next year.  When we drove past the Skyline trail I told Jenny I will have to run it next year for sure.

Also we had our friends from Comox move up to Greenwood recently.  The visit was great and our girls had a great time visiting.  With the leg healing I figured it was a good time to test it out.  Looking online I found out an old village that doesn't exist called Roxbury.  My next post I will update the run and show some pictures.

I also have had a few new hits in the kitchen including a dairy free chocolate.
